WordPress Development Services

WordPress runs a huge share of the American web and is responsible for a huge share of its slowest sites. Almost none of that is WordPress's fault — it is what gets installed on top of it.

We build custom themes and native blocks rather than stacking a page builder on a purchased theme. That single decision removes most of the weight: no thirty-plugin dependency chain, no shortcode lock-in that traps your content, no render-blocking CSS for components the page never uses. Editors get blocks designed around the layouts they actually publish, with sensible constraints, so the site still looks right in two years without a designer policing every post.

We also take on rescues, which is often the more economical option. A slow, plugin-heavy WordPress site is usually slow for four or five identifiable reasons — an unoptimized theme, uncompressed images, render-blocking assets, a missing cache layer and a query-heavy homepage — and fixing those beats a rebuild you did not need. We measure first and tell you which one you are looking at. WooCommerce gets particular attention around catalog size, faceted filtering and checkout performance.

process

How WordPress Development Services work

Step 1: Scope & architecture

Pages, templates, URL structure and integrations agreed in writing before anyone opens an editor.

Step 2: Build in the open

Work lands on a staging URL you can watch. Weekly check-ins, not a three-month silence.

Step 3: Test on real conditions

Core Web Vitals on a throttled mobile connection, keyboard and screen-reader passes, cross-browser checks.

Step 4: Launch & hand over

Redirect map, analytics, Search Console, then documentation and a walkthrough so your team can run it.

by state

faq

WordPress Development Services FAQ

Do you use Elementor, Divi or WPBakery?

Not for new builds. Page builders ship a lot of markup and CSS you never use and they lock your content into their shortcodes, which makes leaving expensive. We build native blocks instead. If you already have a builder site we will work within it rather than forcing a rebuild you did not ask for.

Can you fix a slow WordPress site without rebuilding it?

Usually, yes. Most slow WordPress sites have four or five specific causes rather than a fundamental problem. We measure, identify them, and quote the fix. A rebuild only gets recommended when the theme itself is the bottleneck and reworking it costs more than replacing it.

Is WordPress still a good choice for SEO?

Yes, when it is built well. It gives you full control over URLs, markup, redirects and structured data, which is more than several hosted platforms allow. The SEO problems attributed to WordPress are almost always theme and plugin problems.

Do you migrate sites onto or off WordPress?

Both. Migrations onto WordPress from hosted builders, and off it to Next.js when performance or custom functionality justifies the move. Either way the redirect map and post-launch monitoring are part of the scope, not an extra.
