SEO and Link Building FAQ
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask most about SEO services and link building: what is included, how long it takes, whether links are safe, how guest posts and niche edits differ, and how pricing and reporting work.
SEO services questions
What do your SEO services include?
A typical engagement covers a crawl and audit of your site, keyword research, technical and on-page fixes, content, local SEO where it applies, link building and one monthly report. We only scope the parts your site needs, and the proposal lists exactly what is included.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical and on-page fixes can show movement within weeks. Meaningful ranking gains from content and links usually build over several months, and competitive national terms take longer. How quickly it goes depends on your starting point, your competitors and how much needs fixing first.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. Google does not sell rankings and no honest vendor can guarantee them. What we commit to is the work: the audit, the plan, the content, the links with visible metrics and a monthly report that shows what changed.
What is the difference between SEO consulting and managed SEO?
With SEO consulting we audit your site and give you a prioritized roadmap, and your team implements it. With managed SEO we implement the plan for you. Many businesses start with consulting and move to managed work for the parts they would rather not run themselves.
Do you work with WordPress, Shopify and ecommerce sites?
Yes. We have dedicated services for WordPress SEO, Shopify SEO and ecommerce SEO, plus enterprise and international projects. Platform-specific issues, such as duplicate product URLs on Shopify or plugin bloat on WordPress, are part of the audit.
Do you do local SEO?
Yes. Local SEO covers your Google Business Profile, citations and local backlinks, reviews and location pages for service-area and multi-location businesses. We also build pages for individual US states and cities.
Link building questions
What is link building?
Link building is earning links from other websites to yours, because Google treats relevant links from real publishers as a signal that your site is worth ranking. It works best on a technically sound site with useful content.
Is buying links safe?
Google's spam policies treat links created mainly to manipulate rankings as link spam, including paid links that pass ranking credit without being qualified as sponsored or nofollow. Editorial placements on real publishers, relevant to your page and added at a natural pace, carry much less risk than bulk or network links, but nobody can promise zero risk. We vet every site and use the attributes a publisher requires.
Where do your links come from?
From real websites with genuine readers, chosen for topical relevance, organic traffic, spam score and outbound link ratio. We do not use private blog networks, link farms or sitewide links, and you see each site's metrics before you approve it.
How many links do I need?
There is no universal number. We compare your link profile with the competitors ranking for your target terms and plan the pace around your site's age and current profile, rather than selling a fixed package.
Do I choose the sites my links go on?
Yes. You receive a vetted prospect sheet with each site's traffic, DR, DA and spam score and approve it site by site. Nothing is bought, written or placed on a domain you have not approved.
Do you build links for ecommerce stores?
Yes. Ecommerce link building focuses on category and collection pages, gift guides and roundups, brand and supplier mentions and niche edits on relevant buying-advice articles, rather than pointing every link at the homepage.
Guest posts and niche edits questions
What is a niche edit?
A niche edit, also called a link insertion, adds your link to an article that is already published and relevant to your topic. The publisher edits the page so the link sits naturally in the body text.
What is the difference between a guest post and a niche edit?
A guest post is a new article written for the publisher with a link to your page. A niche edit adds a link to an existing article. Niche edits are usually faster and borrow the page's existing authority; guest posts give you more control over the topic and the content.
Will the link be dofollow?
Many editorial placements are followed, but some publishers require sponsored or nofollow attributes. We tell you which applies to each site before you approve it.
Can I see the article before it is published?
For guest posts, yes. You approve the draft before it is submitted and the final version before it goes live. For niche edits, you approve the placement and the wording of the sentence.
Do you place guest posts on health and finance sites?
Yes, but only on publishers with real editorial oversight and only with accurate, sourced, balanced content. We do not place content that makes medical claims or promises financial returns.
White label and partner questions
What is white label link building?
It is link building delivered by a partner under your agency's brand. We source, vet, write and place the links, and you present the work and the reports to your client as your own.
How do I become a partner?
Use the contact form to tell us about your agency, your clients' niches and the volume you expect. We reply with how the workflow, ordering and reporting run.
Will my clients see your name?
No. Prospect sheets and reports are unbranded, and publishers hear from us, not from your client.
Pricing and process questions
How much do your services cost?
It depends on the scope: the size and condition of your site, how competitive your terms are and which services you need. The proposal is free and prices the specific scope after a crawl of your site.
What happens after I request a proposal?
A person reads your request, crawls your site and writes a plan covering services, links and timeline, with a price for that scope. There are no automated quotes.
What reporting do I get?
One monthly report combining Google Search Console and GA4: impressions, clicks and rankings, organic traffic and conversions, the links placed that month with their URLs and metrics, and what we are doing next.
Do you work with businesses outside the major US cities?
Yes. We serve businesses in all fifty states, entirely remotely, with a shared report and a scheduled call.
Do you serve the UK as well?
Yes, we have a smaller UK section with UK spelling and UK search focus. Visit our UK site for the services and approach there.
